I liked how it looked on my lips and it wasn’t super duper uncomfortable. If you don’t have many mauve/taupe colors it would be a good purchase, as it is only $6.00. It is very similar to Nyx’s Soft-spoken (but less opaque) on my NW20 skin. Over a taupe lip pencil it was lighter and longer lasting, but alone it isn’t anything special. It’s one of their very popular shades, and is currently sold out, so I was confused as I didn’t have a blast with it. Overall, I would say that it’s actually really quite beautiful, but is nothing like colourpop described.
That’s the first place where the color died actually. I liked that I could barely feel it on the lips and it remained intact for about four hours. My inner lip (like near my mouth hole?) never dried and remained sticky throughout the day.
The outer lip dried to a nice matte finish but the inner lip felt like Nyx’s Suade lip. The application was pretty smooth on the lips, but dried a bit patchy. It looks absolutely nothing like the swatches on colourpop’s website. At least on me it pulled like a mauve and not a taupe. It’s just personal preference, but I hope it floats your boat!īeeper, an Ultra Matte, is described by colourpop as : Call me, beep me, if you wanna reach me in this warm mid-tone taupe. Which is an excellent Kim Possible reference by the way. All lip swatches are tested drinking, eating, or something that would show longevity against the harshest of situations.
